Welcome to the home page of St. Michael - St. Charles CYO track & field program.
The track & field program takes place in the spring, with practices starting February 1st and activities continuing through the Diocese Championship Meet in mid-May. The program is for young athletes in second through eighth grades in the Livermore area.
We compete in the Diablo Valley Catholic League, which is Section 1 of the Oakland Diocese CYO.

2012 SEASON NEWS
Track Sign Ups - Wednesday January 11th, from 6:30 - 8:00pm and Friday January 20th, from 6:30 - 8:00pm in the St. Michaels Parish Hall.
Mandatory Parents meeting - Wednesday February 1st, at 7:00pm in the St. Michaels Parish Hall.
Track Practice starts February 6th, at Granada High School from 4:00 - 5:00pm.
End of Season Party - May 21st, 2012

COORDINATOR'S CORNER (*NEW*)
Some areas we need to think about for 2012 are a Co-Volunteer Coordinator. Marion Dukes is a fabulous organizer but that is a big job that is certainly helped by having two people to manage it. Timing System Operator. We have really only one person trained to operate the timing system and since we use that system at all the home meets at Granada, it would be great to have one or two other people trained so that one poor person isn’t obligated to work every meet. The training is pretty straight forward and we have the support of Brad Morisoli from the Granada Track Team to help us. Of course we are always in need of people to help Coach. You don’t need to have experience,
workouts are put together by our head coach, Coach Floyd, but we need to have adults on the field to help organize the kids. You don’t have to be there every day but a firm commitment to two days out of each week is appreciated. Starter. We have a couple guys that have started for us this year but their kids are soon going to be graduating from the program so it would be nice to have people learning to start races.
Web Cam Operator. Granada High School has the capability to stream web cam of our meets. This program is super easy to learn and operating it is from the press box on the track so you have a bird’s eye view of the meet.
